Bad things happen to bad people aswell though. It’s safe to say bad things just happen. And there aren’t as much good people in this world who are ‘Good’. There are many who are Neutral. But to be classified as “Good” to me you have to go above and beyond to help. My thoughts |

for those who believe in Karma, it’s a good question. But in general, i think that it really depends on what is “bad” and what is “good” since we all define it differently. What I have come to learn though is that life is not “good or bad” or black and white. There is so much gray area. sometimes seemingly good things turn out to be bad and vice versa. |

@CJV I agree, and well said. Sooo much grey area, that the quote just doesn’t do anything for me anymore |

Look at the bad thing as an oppurtunity or experience that you can learn from. Its true there is so much grey area, just think of whatever it is as possibly a good thing. Every good/bad is what you make it to be. |

Bad things happen to everyone. You can be a “good person” and be unprepared… that makes it worse. |

@luigi Well I’d say bad is death and good is life. |

Good people just complain more because they feel they should be compensated for their niceness? Ha. I just thought of that. |

If bad things didn’t happen we would get to used to the good and wouldn’t be able to appreciate it properly. |

I think it happens to build character..bad stuff happens to good people to either help them realize they shouldnt be so nice or to help overcome plight |

Because karma is not real. |

Some bad things are indiscriminate, like getting caught in an earthquake. |

Bad things don’t happen to anyone. Things happen, some people label such happenings as bad. And those good people usually aren’t very good. |

@Manimal Word! That seals all my thoughts in a very simple post. |

Tell yourself that this bad experience was awesome, a good experience and that you are happy as hell because of it. It’s almost like spitting in the face of bad luck. |

Hannah, you’re on to something there. We appreciate the wonderful things in life more when we have bad experiences to compare them to. |

Karma does exist, it just doesn’t work the way most people think it does. It’s all in your mind and body, it’s a feedback machine. You do bad shit, you feel bad. Even if it’s unconscious. Karma is merciless. |

good and bad are perception.. not real things as far as the universe is concerned. praying to a god or doing good deeds aren’t going to void you of bad experiences. In the human prospective bad things happen to good people because bad things happen to all people. its life not a mystic force out to get you. |
