Why is twitter so popular?

Good for news, and business. You don’t have to wait for things to be ‘official’ things happen in real-time.

When lulzsec was going strong, I used twitter to stay more up-to-date then the news. Also when shit breaks out in other countries, we get the real news easier from twitter. Twitter is a great tool for a revolution. If shit went down, twitter would be the place to go.

because you can make smart-ass comments to people across the world. also, you can basically text somebody without having to get their phone number. It’s slightly less personal but that makes it that much more accessible.

There’s no law that says you have to tweet mundane shit.

Because people like new information at a rapid pace, and they don’t want to have to read a lot.

A lot of porn stars have twitters. I’m currently following Sasha Grey for some reason. But I never use twitter, so I don’t really see her tweets.

I keep in contact with a lot of friends through it. Its more fun to talk on Twitter than on Facebook. I also follow a lot of celebrities because its fun :) And you know when they are putting out something new. I also follow a lot of businesses and can get good deals that way. I follow the Mayor from my hometown which is a really fun way to keep up on things there. I follow a lot of news stations too. And I follow people whose blogs and webcomics I read. You get to have so much stuff in one place, it’s great! :)
