When I was younger, I tended to listen to about the same music as everybody else, you know, rap, rock, metal, punk, etc. At some age I started to get really into obscure music forms, music such as anarcho punk, crust, Black metal, alternative rap, and obscure hippie rock bands from the 60′s. Slowly but surely I became more and more open minded about what type of music I listened to. I heard a lot of people say they listened to every type of music, and I took that to heart and realized that I should seek out even more obscure or unusual musical types. Today, I listen to Tibetan throat chanting, being a buddhist I find it very interesting and it gets me fired up for an important task. When I need to get pumped up, when I need to get my game face on, I listen to this: when I need to get spiritual I listen to native american music, especially the kinds that have shamanic drumming in the background. I listen to classical too, like yo yo ma, this is my favorite song by him: Anybody else like really spiritual and obscure music. I’d love it if you shared some good ones. |
