I wanted to share this site I stumbled upon just now. It’s written in an interesting first person point of view. It’s all good. It’s a love letter. I’ll just quote the intro:

"PLEASE NOTE: This letter has been written in a special way. It contains difficult but necessary truths. Some people may feel uncomfortable or upset while reading the first half of the letter, but it is important to keep reading until you reach the second half.

When you get there, you will understand why the first part needs to exist. Please do not be upset or afraid. That is just your ego reacting the way all egos do. Merely observe the negative feelings and let them pass. This letter has been written to help you."

“There aren’t very many like me in the world (especially since you’ve worked so hard to erase us all from existence) and your chances of even encountering this message to begin with are extremely slim – but somehow you did anyway. And do you know what that means?” :)

Too long, and I too boring I thought. Most people already know everything the author is saying.. we just don’t put it into practice… And there is where the problem resides. Not in the unconsciousness of people about being “insane”.. but in the consciousness of knowing we are doing things wrong, and doing nothing about it.

But thats changing soon.

Wow, that was like reading my own thoughts, except he managed to put it into words waaay better than I could dream of. Amazing.

Thank you so much for sharing this.

Yes pretty decent, but unfortunately I already had a clue so it was boring as hell. But I think we need to wrap this message in some sort of warpspeed neurological drug or something otherwise it will take too long to reach everybody.

@Barkie A drug? How about a brainwash video of lots of pictures describing it, flashing by repeatedly at a rapid pace? Kind of like in Chuck, where he downloads a database of top secret stuff into his brain by watching some flashing images.

I’m pretty sure that there is already a neurological drug for administering such profound realizations

I don’t think there’s any drug like this, except maybe ibogaine.

Great quotes in there ” Like a group of sugar-buzzed, frenetic children playing a massive game of “Hungry, Hungry Hippos,” you view life as a contest, a race, or a competition to control as large a share of the world’s resources as you can get your hands on “

I feel like the best way to change the way people are acting is to be a positive example.

I would take him more seriously if I knew what his personal projects were.

@manimal, you mean something like Leary tried? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQq_XmhBTgg And as for drugs I am indeed talkin about things like ibogaine-like substances. maybe a weak mescaline or something like that. we definately need more research on treating mental patients with the help of psychoactive drugs. anti depressants and valium like substances only make things worse.

@Barkie That’s a cool video, thanks, I’ll have to investigate it further.

I don’t think any drug can produce the desired effect. All psychedelic drugs do is fuck with your mind, which results in it opening or changing perspective. It’s not like the drug is feeding any actual information into your brain. The effects of drugs are way too chaotic and unpredictable to be relied on. They could be a great tool in the treatment of mental disorders, and they were used for this in the past. But it’s not enough, you still need to guide them like in any kind of mental treatment/awakening.

Anti depressants and benso make things worse, yes. That’s because it’s their purpose. They’re not meant to cure the problem, there’s not much profit to made from that. If you can keep people “kinda ok I guess,” not too bad but still not good, then you can make immense loads of profit off of them continually until they die.

If he would have cut out some of the repetitive stuff at the beginning, more people would bother to read that. I somehow managed to read the whole thing, I liked it, but my eyes are on fire from reading paragraph after paragraph.

Thanks for posting this, Sasho. So many people need to read this but of course like he explains over and over again, they are batshit insane so it’s kind of pointless.
@ BirdFlyingHigh
“I feel like the best way to change the way people are acting is to be a positive example.”
I agree with you 100% – this kind of stuff isn’t even worth talking about to the people who need to hear it. All you can do is show them how good love feels.

@Alex Eastman You know what happens when you cut out the repetitive stuff at the beginning? Nobody believes you, because they feel threatened and shut their minds down. The beginning is a warm up, and a bit of an apologetic opener, to get people to trust and listen. Just as he says, the insane people are easily manipulated this way.

If you skip that stuff and get straight to business people won’t listen and they’ll think you’re a douche. Not too long ago I was hammering this kind of stuff into these boards (see what I did there?) and in the span of two months there were three or four threads about me being a douche, and my pm inbox was full of hate.

That’s what happens when you don’t ease your way into people’s minds. And that’s why the people who try to ease their way into your mind are most likely manipulative psychopaths and should be the last ones to be trusted. This is something that all successful manipulators know, and also the reason why people who can’t take non-sugarcoated facts/opinions are the ones that will be the most manipulated.

Approval is the key to all manipulation, if you don’t seek approval or even care about it you literally can’t be manipulated.

That guy is miserable, he needs to laugh more. But yeah, way too long. I read half of it and did not find one thing I didn’t already know. He’s not crazy, he’s right but his compassion has caused him to be a jaded person. Everything in excess is dangerous, including compassion. I’ve been where he is.

Honestly? That was a bit of a chore. Whoever wrote that wrote it in the tone of a lofty genius, despite saying basically the same thing as anyone who’s ever claimed to be ‘awake’. I’ve read a couple things like that, and they all say the same thing, but that was the longest and proudest one yet (outside of an actual religious text).

I’m really not sure posting that on a domain has as much effect as a good chunk of charity work, or whether anyone who’s not already interested in that stuff would bother reading it.

@Nicholas, Yep. I’m sure it had more impact when the author was still anonymous.
@Ray, Like Oscar Wilde said it, there wouldn’t be so much suffering in the world if there wasn’t so much compassion, although Oscar Wilde was a dandy, arrogant jerk with intrusive genius.
And the author of the letter thought of every possibility of things people would say about him, so every comment would be worthless against the message it sends. I’m glad I found it.

@ Ray – Miserable? I got angry from that letter, not miserable. I see someone that has for too long watching what this insane world has been up to, and finally decided to convert than anger into action. Miserable? I just do not see it.

@ Nicholas – If one person reads that and something goes off in their head, and their perspectives begin to shift for the positive, is that not effective? The more it spreads, the more people that read that letter (and I agree with all around… it was a chore to get through), the better off we are, no?

Yes we can all sit here and say, “Well I knew that already”, but DUH folks… that is why you are on this site. That letter is directed at those who have not started to question the insane world around us, not folks like us who’s process started already.

The air of lofty arrogance throughout is necessary in getting people to pay attention, in my opinion. No one listens to a random person they read on-line unless there is some conviction behind his words, and this author has just that. It is a fine example of being angry as f**k that all humans do not have simple love and compassion for every living creature, and then actually doing something productive with that anger.

Excellent post Sasho! I for one will be sharing with anyone who might want to read it and hopefully some that don’t. =)

I loved every word of it.

“You MUST stop all of this hatred and division. Not for me, and not only for yourselves, but for ALL LIFE. Do you understand that ALL LIFE is what you really are? No, of course you don’t, because your crazy world has denied you this knowledge – but it remains true nonetheless. Can you understand that there is NO SUCH THING as an isolated, truly “independent” being on this world or on any other in this infinite Universe? Every living thing is your brother or sister. KNOW NOW, right now, that this is not some recycled hippie New Age John Lennon “kumbaya” bullshit I’m trying to sell you. That’s how you are denied this truth in your crazy world – it is lumped into those tired old dismissive categories and swept out of your sight, never to trouble you again. But nonetheless, it remains true that not even GOD HIMSELF can alter the fact that unity and interconnection is the ACTUAL TRUTH of all existence. It’s a fact, a complete, stone cold concrete FACT, and the only fact that matters.”

^I love that part. Anyone who voices this simple truth gets labeled as a crazy hippie, myself included, so I stopped trying… but I think this inspired me to start again. Thanks for sharing this. :)

Jesusbob, he has a sense of humour but he is jaded by the world, he is existing in a state of misery. Yes indeed it is little more than an all caps rage, he is venting frustrations. If you want to become a miserable and angry person then jump on his band wagon, by all means. But as I said, I’ve been there, if I had internet when I did then no doubt I would have been saying the same stuff. But when you take time to enjoy life as well as contain such compassion, it does wonders for your efficiency. You help more people without desperation and whinning. “It takes knowledge to become miserable but it takes wisdom to reverse it”
But, yeah, you cannot lock yourself away from the world for 15 years with such a burden on your shoulders without falling far into misery, I know.
