Has Anyone Here Used Silk Road?

Alex Mayle (@alexmayle) 6 years, 7 months ago

For anyone that is unaware, Silk Road is a website only accessible with software such as Tor, uses to buy drugs. People purchase them with the mostly anonymous currency, BitCoinas.

I’m wondering if anyone here has used it successfully. I’m thinking about buying some shrooms, as they are out of season in Ohio and I can’t find them.

Any input on the site is welcome, Thanks!

I don’t want anyone knowing my real address, but at the same time I don’t want someone personally placing the package in my PO box. I know a mailman would touch it when putting it in my mailbox, but they don’t care at all.

I’ve used SR several times, and have had no issues with it.

What you want to do is set up a relationship with a buyer. Only use the ones that are marked highly, and don’t deal with anyone bullshit.

All your information is destroyed after it gets shipped, feel free to use a fake name if you feel the need.

The whole legality thing is – it’s not illegal for someone to SEND you something in the mail. All you have to do is deny and knowledge or involvement with this mysterious packages.

Regardless, most of the goods come vacuum sealed and disguised to look very legit, so no worries there.

For now, their system of mutual trust ( A seller ripping someone off loses his rep, a buyer without a history of completed orders has difficulty buying large amounts) works well.

Of course, the whole bitcoin conversion deal – means that you are paying a premium for your chems, but the stuff is generally top-grade, safe, and shipped to your door.

@alexishungry,

There are no assassins, nor illegal weapons.

There was (for a VERY short time) an Armory part of SR.

No more though.
You’ll find illegal goods and services – but nothing violent.

@falsecandles, I believe they were referring to the deep web in generally, not just Silk Road.

@falsecandles, Thank you for the input! I’m think I’m gonna do it :)

@falsecandles, I must have been unclear. I meant other “dark web” TOR sites, not Silk Road.

UPDATE: Getting bitcoins is an ORDEAL. My god. Well, at least if you want to do it quick. If you’re in no rush, than I guess it’s alright.

Also Mt.Gox (bitcoin exchange) sucks, try not to use it. It’s taking more than a day to transfer my bitcoins into silk road.

So, does anybody have the time to give us an ‘idiots guide to buying bit coins?’

It would be sort beneficial to anybody interested in this form of currency (…and Silk Road…)

On another note, There are some really interesting essays and such on the tor network. Really good place in my opinion..

@piptherational, I think I’m going to make a graphic and put it on the site, but until then…
Overview
Cash / electronic money —> Bitcoin Exchange —> Silk Road Wallet

Quick Way
1. Use http://BitInstant.com to deposit cash, Dwolla (it’s like PayPal), or other currencies into a bitcoin exchange account. A bitcoin exchange is a market where people buy and sell currencies. In this case we will be turning USD into BTC at http://Mtgox.com. (This will cost about $10 when all said and done. This is the way I did it.)

2. Once you have followed the directions on BitInstant, and you have some cash in your Mt. Gox account, you can buy Bitcoins on the market.

3. Withdraw the funds and send them to them the bitcoin wallet address that Silkroad provides for you. You will see a link called “make a deposit” after clicking on the “account” in the header of SIlk Road. That is where you can find this address. It looks something like this: ajkdfFlakdJein4483Jklkd4

Long Way
1. The only difference is the first step. Instead of using BitInstant, log into your http://mtgox.com account and browse the various ways availabe to add funds to your account. Choose one, such as bank transfer or Dwolla and you’re set. This is the way to get around that $10 fee in the above method.

There are ways that are more anonymous, where you exchange MoneyPak cards or PayPal for bitcoins, but it’s a tad more sketchy. Also a little pointless because the above methods are anonymous as long as you don’t post your bitcoin address in a forum signature to rack up donations or anything. Bottom line, keep your name and bitcoin address completely separate.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask questions :)

@alexmayle, good luck on your journey to the silk road. it seems brilliant to me (though i’m not computer savvy enough to go there). that being said, it is super easy to grow mushrooms. you can order spores legally online in most states. just look up pf tek on youtube and follow the instructions. if you have questions along the way use a search engine or go to shroomery.org .

I’ve used SIlk Road quite a bit with great success. The key is to look at your vendors very carefully and make sure they have a good rating and of course maintain good security. I wrote a pretty comprehensive guide on it which you can see at http://cannabiscorner.net/guide-to-the-silk-road-part-1-getting-started/

@alexmayle, SR is old news. I would avoid using that shit personally with the exception of one substance that we do not have in the northeast (and even then BTC is such a pain in the ass i have only bothered to once..), but i’m talking about a hard drug that most here would never take anyway
SR last i checked/knew was overpriced for LSD horrendously, overpriced horrendously for pharms, MDMA not too bad but you’ve gotta get it from abroad so it WILL go through customs (not to worry, but still….I dont want anyoen to say well customs doesn’t catch shit cause i know that, but personally, i dont fuck with customs.), weed well if you cant find weed IRL you have serious problems, and other psyches its a tossup.
I’d avoid using that site tbh. but thats me, i dont rely on that site for my drugs so thats why i dont think highly of overpaying for your drugs from strangers online.

I’d avoid buying heroin off of there as well.
its laughable (least when i checked last) what people could get for dope off of those suckers and have them happy and eager to buy more afterwards, least IMO.
I know if i could sell pharms and heroin on there i’d be fucking rich.

I love how you’re worried about anonymity when you’re openly talking about buying shrooms with a username that appears to be your real name.

@taters, @alexmayle, @jackflash, Please listen to Taters, it is still a hazard no matter how many times you do it. You are always at risk. So please remember: be discreet, never repeat (addresses, etc), and play nice. ;)

not quite!

If you have safe access locally then sure use it…if not SR is far from “old news”…it’s exciting news!

At this point, if you bought bitcoins 6 months ago, you’re making serious money. They were like 8 dollars, now they are 141!

Step 1: download Tor Browser Bundle and bitcoin client.
Step 2: open Dwolla account, get money into mt Gox (there are other avenues, this is the easiest especially for US citizens). This could take up to a week. Alternatively, if you at very savvy and have a monster gaming PC (like multiple graphics cards), I recommend mining litecoins an converting them to bitcoin on BTC-E exchange. No paper trail = always preferable. For advanced kiddies only.

Step 3. Move your bitcoin into your wallet (in your bitcoin client).
Step 4: open silkroad acct, use Tor browser to search the .onion address. Transfer bitcoin into SR wallet and shop away. VERY IMPORTANT, USE PGP TO ENCRYPT ANY SENSITIVE INFO WHILE COMMUNICATING ON SR. USE EXTREME CAUTION, PO BOX WITH FAKE ID IS PREFERABLE, NOT NECESSARY.

Step 5, where I currently am: enjoy living in the future, where 84% pure lab grade MDMA shows up in your mailbox with no fussing about dealers, quality or any of the goddamn bullshit that usually accompanies drug acquisition.

Commence rolling you face off and hop online to help anyone trying to navigate the unfamiliar waters of the deep web.

It’s not so scary, fellow psychonauts – if you can follow a recipe for risotto, you too can enjoy the benefits of travelling your inner universe the silkroad way. Welcome to the future!
